Ely Cathedral - "The Ship of the Fens" as it is known locally, Ely Cathedral dates back to William the Conqueror and was once closed for 10 years by Oliver Cromwell and used as a stable for his Calvary horses! More recently the Cathedral was used as the backdrop to such films as Elizabeth - The Golden Age and The Other Boleyn Girl.
